Our Key People

Nick Gimson

Nick Gimson is a qualified and experienced financial services professional. Nick left university in 1987 and joined a UK insurance company in the city of London. In 1991 Nick joined Donnellsons where he worked for 17 years. Nick left Donnellsons to join a larger financial services group but left, having become disillusioned with the corporate world. Nick re-joined Donnellsons in September 2017 to deliver the service to clients which he believes in.

During his career Nick has advised both companies in relation to their employee benefits and corporate financial planning, and private client wealth management. For the past five years Nick has specialised in providing advice to individuals and has a particular interest and specialisation in retirement planning matters.

Nick is married with one son and is interested in most sports. He enjoys playing tennis and golf.

Stephen Bourne

Stephen started his working life for one of the largest broking houses in the Lloyds Insurance market, but soon moved into Financial Services. After some years working for two of the major financial services companies he moved to take up a role running a service company for a firm of accountants. While in that role Stephen developed an interest in planning for high net worth individuals outside of the UK as well as in those based here. He also met the founders of the original Donnellsons business and the rest as they say is history.

Stephen has been part of the Donnellsons story for more than 35 years and has acted for many of his present clients for a large part of that time. His particular planning interest continues to be in effective lifetime wealth planning.

Outside of the office Stephen is kept busy by his large family, and in pursuing his interests in travel, reading, and England rugby.

Samantha Strevens

Sam started in Financial Services over 18 years ago, fresh out of University having completed a Business Studies degree. Since then she has worked for two IFA firms, an Accountancy practice as well as a Law firm. She has gained a great deal of experience over these years and has worked with a variety of clients. Sam has been a part of the team at Donnellsons since 2011 where she provides research and report writing services for the Partners.

During her time in the industry, Sam has completed a number of Financial Services exams and in 2015 achieved the Chartered Financial Planner qualification.

Outside of working life, Sam is married and is kept busy with her toddler son and two young step children. In the event of having any spare time Sam likes to try and keep fit by running.

Daniel Nash MA (Oxon.) FCA.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 (ICAEW), Dan worked in variety of management roles for one of the major accountancy firms before moving from the profession to take up a position as Chief Financial Officer in the Financial Services industry.

He now provides financial and management accounting services along with compliance services in personal and corporate tax, PAYE and VAT. In addition to providing these services to individuals, companies and partnerships, resident in UK, Dan has also developed extensive experience in tax compliance for individuals and companies not resident in the UK.

Outside of the office, Dan has maintained a keen interest in Greek mythology and the classics which he read at Oxford and is an accomplished Blues guitarist and vocalist.
